Currently 3 hydrodynamic models. are run at different intervals to forecast river levels in the system. The data are extracted at 48 locations. At 4 locations we have real time water level measurements to compare with model predictions, other water level gauges are currently being installed. The forecasts are available for Metro Colombo Urban Development Project members and stakeholders. The location map is shown below.
